Atlantic Coast Yacht Brokers have been specializing in the purchase and sale of yachts for over 27 years. ACYB began as a small brokerage with a big dream that was driven by the President of the company, Tom Maynard.
After years of development and experience, ACYB has defined itself as a unique brokerage house providing boutique, personal services to its clients. We work closely with every client to listen and help define the right yacht for their intended use. Then advise them through the whole buying and selling process. Our services include inspection of yachts if warranted, extensive photographic and/or video recording and presentation, arranging showings, surveys, sea trials, etc. and attending all. We act as a buyer’s or seller’s advocate throughout the entire process. This is where we differentiate ourselves from other firms.
Over 45 years of practical experience from knowledge of build quality, design, relative performance, resale history, etc. We actively network with other industry professionals to find or help sell yachts we are looking for or marketing for sale. These relationships have been built over the years with top firms around the country, to Europe and beyond.
Owner, Tom Maynard
Tom Maynard started Atlantic Coast Yacht Brokers in 1987 after working for several years in new and brokerage sales. He worked for a nationally known sail making firm during college summers and after graduating from college Tom worked for one of the best known custom yacht builders in the country.
Tom brings a life’s work of practical experience in yachting – having amassed over 34,000 offshore miles including a transatlantic crossing to Bergen, Norway, and subsequent exploration of the Norwegian coast, the Brittany region of France and the Azores. He has also cruised the Caribbean, Bahamas and the East Coast from Florida to Maine. He has participated in many offshore races including numerous Newport to Bermuda races. Tom earned his commercial pilot’s license in 1976 and currently owns and fishes a Pursuit. He has experience in selling large motor yachts, sport fishermen, trawlers as well as large cruising and racing sailboats.
